Everyone got LEID!!! At least everyone at the 2009 Class Council  LUAU!! There was karaoke and then there was a crazy dance!! A ton of  people from all classes showed up and had a blast at our spring luau.  There was food and drinks and an awesome DJ! Everyone thoroughly  enjoyed themselves by first singing their hearts out to whatever song  they chose, and then we all burned up the dance floor up until the  very last moment of the dance! We also were greatly successful in  raising awareness and money for the 2009 Class Gift. If you weren't at  this event then you missed out! So, be sure to make it to our next  event, which is sure to be just as entertaining!

The Knock-Out Tournament has proved to be yet another awesome event!  Tons of people turned out to participate in the first Knock-Out  Tournament at UVM's Patrick Gym! Zune, a new mp3 player sponsored by  Microsoft, helped to co-sponsor the event and provide food, sweet  color-changing cups, t-shirts, posters, and other goodies to all the  participants. The tournament turned out to be very competitive and the  games were filled with intensity! However in the end only one  individual took home the grand prize! This was yet another great  opportunity for the Class Council to provide awareness about our class  gift and raise some money for it too! Overall, the tournament was a  ton of fun and again if you missed this fun event, be sure to make it  to the next!!

The Halloween Hangout was a blast! We celebrated the Halloween season in the Christie-Wright-Patterson Rotunda with many other UVM students.  We all had a great time playing games, getting Tarot Card readings and learning about safe ways to enjoy Halloween!

The Harvest Fest! We gave away over 60 pumpkins to students to decorate or carve.  It was a great opportunity for the class council to interact with all students from around campus and for everyone to enjoy the hot apple cider that was offered along with the pumpkins!

Savvy Sophomores was a fun event that was a follow-up to the Internship Hop hosted by Career Services.  We all got a chance to become familiar with the resources that are offered by Career Services.  Students at this event were also given the opportunity to talk with several Graduate Students that work at Career Services and gained a better understanding of what they can do to help us find the perfect job or internship!

The dance was a success!!  Students from all over campus came and packed the house at Billings for our second annual semi-formal dance!!  The theme was "Prom Again" and everyone came dressed in their best outfits.  The DJ was bumping and everyone had an amazing time dancing the night away!! Stay-tuned for information about a dance in the spring, if you missed "Prom Again" you're not going to want to miss this one!

The Homecoming Parade was a blast!!  Through the combined efforts of the 2010, 2009, and 2008 Class Councils we were able to win the TOP Prize for our float in this year's Homecoming Parade!  The theme was "Going Places," so we came up with a float based on the Dr. Seuss book "Oh, the Places You'll Go."  With our high energy and creative float President Fogel himself selected our float as the winner!
