Catamounts in our nation's capital sorted food at the Capital Area Food Bank. Last year, the Capital Area Food Bank had over 12,000 volunteers assist in the sorting and sending of food to those in need. These same volunteers also assisted in the distribution of over 20 million pounds of food and fresh produce in the Washington metro area.
For every volunteer hour we provided, Miriam's Kitchen soup kitchen, where UVM alum Steve Badt '90 is director of Kitchen Operations and Volunteer Services, received a credit toward their regular food purchases.

Special thanks to Natalie Cater Moffett '97 and the Washington, DC Regional Board for planning this event.
