Dear UVM Parents and Families,

As co-chairs of the UVM Parents Council, we are pleased to present the parents and family resources pages. The information here will help you stay connected to the University of Vermont while your son or daughter is a student.

We are committed, as fellow parents, to making sure that your experience with the University of Vermont is a positive one, which is why we encourage your entire family to stay in touch and get involved. Many parents are interested in a certain level of meaningful engagement with their child's university and we embrace your interest in the total UVM experience!

As parents of a current UVM student, you are officially members of the UVM Parents and Families Association.  As a member you will receive:

·          The Parents Newsletter and online Parent Connection highlighting issues of special interest to UVM parents

·          Vermont Quarterly, a comprehensive University publication for all alumni, parents and friends

·          Dateline UVM - the email newsletter for the UVM community, which you will receive when you register for the UVM Connection

·          Access to the UVM Connection, and all the secure areas of the online community, including the Online Directory, the UVM Career Connection, and the UVM Business Network

·          An invitation to Homecoming & Family Weekend – October 2-5, 2008 – a weekend packed with a variety of academic, athletic, and musical activities...and just plain fun

·          Invitations to special programs in your area, including faculty speaker events, athletics contests, admissions and career events, and much more.
