The UVM Fund
Ensure Affordability
UVM Fund dollars help maintain affordability and address scholarship need. The University recognizes financial aid as one of the most critical emerging needs of students and families. Total financial aid awards topped $165 million last year as the University increased spending to assist the
rapidly growing number of students in need.
Enhance Academics
Your gift to the Fund helps to enhance and strengthen
UVM's academic programs. From recruiting and
retaining world-renowned faculty — 90 percent of
whom hold a Ph.D. or the highest degree in their field
— to providing mentoring and tutoring programs for
undergraduates, ensuring that students receive a
quality UVM education is the top priority of the UVM
Fund.
Enrich Campus Life
Your gift to the UVM Fund supports campus life
enhancements, including exercise and recreation
facilities, campus transportation systems, and student
activities.
UVM offers more than 50 special-interest housing
programs that allow students to learn where they live.
Students also enjoy a rich arts and cultural experience
on campus, with facilities like the Robert Hull Fleming
Museum, Royall Tyler Theatre, and the Living/Learning
Pottery Collective.
Campus safety is also a top priority, and UVM maintains
a fully commissioned and accredited police department
and a blue-light emergency phone system, as well as the
CAT Alert communication platform.
Strengthen UVM's Reputation
Robust annual giving programs are a measure of
institutional strength in the eyes of foundations that
issue research grants, bond-rating agencies like Standard
and Poor's, and national media like U.S. News and World
Report, which publishes annual college rankings. Your
support of the UVM Fund not only ensures affordability,
enhances academics, and enriches campus life, but is
also crucial to the continued growth of our reputation.
