Mark Bean of Northfield, Vt., was so inspired by our Class Notes and enjoyed reading them so much, he thought he should contribute. He wrote that last February, he and his wife, Eileen, celebrated 10 blissful years of marriage. They have three children, Patrick, Paul, and Sabrina. The family enjoys downhill skiing at Sugarbush Mount Ellen. Mark let us know that his good friend, Derek “Couch” McKenny, lives in Atlanta, Ga., where he has started a new restaurant called The Vermont Mustard Co. (www.vermontmustardcompany.com), where he sells only authentic Vermont foods and products. Derek has a daughter, Madison, and he is looking forward to our 15th reunion. Anya Boyd Koutras, M.D., husband John, and daughters Lydia and Grace, moved to Burlington, Vt., last year. Anya is a family physician at Colchester Family Practice, and she is on the faculty in the family medicine residency at UVM. She and her family love living in Vermont, and she loves being back at UVM. Michelle Berger Miller wrote to say that she is living in New York with her husband, David, and their three children, Skyler, Riley, and Maddie. They have just opened a new family business called Snax Country in the Galleria Mall in White Plains, N.Y. According to Michelle, they sell the best caramel popcorn and chocolate popcorn you have ever tasted anywhere. They also sell other snacks as well as yogurt and ice cream. I’m sure if you mention that you are a UVM alum, they will be happy to throw in a surprise! Jennifer Warren Medwin and husband Steven ’89 are thrilled to announce the birth of their second child, Scott Reid Medwin, born October 20, 2005. Finally, my husband, Jim, and I welcomed the new year with Jay ’90 and Heather Campbell Wager and Chris Minott at a party at The Three Stallion Inn in Randolph, Vt., which is owned by my family. As your class secretary, I just want to remind everyone that it’s our 15th reunion in spring ’06. Please check the UVM website for more detailed information and make your reservations early. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible back in Burlington.

They have three children, Eleanor, Cy, and Claire, who was born last March who keep them on their toes. The Richardsons have been happily married for 10 years, and they love getting back to Vermont. I’ll get over it.” Scott Olson wrote that he was married on September 3, 2005, to Bridget Strong of Goshen, N.Y., in a ceremony and reception held in the bride’s home state. Despite being in the heart of Yankee Country in what would be a disappointing season for both rivals, Scott surrounded himself with plenty of Red Sox fans for support, including Mark Freedman and his daughter, Caroline, who he hopes will be in UVM’s class of 2024, who served as the beautiful flower girl. The happy couple lives in the heart of Salem, Mass. Scott continues to work for Paradigm Properties as a client services liaison, and he plans to pursue a master’s in counseling psychology. His bride works in the advertising department of Fidelity Investments in Boston. As a side note, Scott is elated that, because of the new Hockey East alliance, his beloved Catamount skaters that he used to cover for The Cynic have a lot more games closer to home. He enjoys getting together with other alumni before games, and he can be reached at uvmcat94@aol.com for anyone that would like to drop a line.” Nikki Harding is living in New York City, where she has worked at the Bronx District Attorney’s office as an assistant district attorney for the past eight years. Lea also has two older daughters, Ann Isabella and Molly Catherine. Jessica Knight Hansen welcomed an adorable baby boy, Alex, into the world on October 12, 2005. She wrote, “He’s beautiful, but he still keeps us up night!” Jessica and her family live in Guilford, Conn. Jen Kelly Schoenberg sent updates on several UVM alums. She wrote, “After graduation I moved to Boulder, Colo., with Jessica Knight Hansen, and I met my husband, Jon, while living there. Jon is in the Air Force, and in 1995, we were transferred to Albuquerque, N. Mex., for four years. I earned my masters degree in community health education then worked for the University of New Mexico on a Native American obesity prevention research project. I traveled all around the Navajo reservation and surrounding areas in the Southwest. I also became addicted to triathlons and competed around the Southwest and in California. In 1999, we moved to Colorado Springs for three years, and we welcomed Kyle and Samantha into the family, while stationed at the Air Force Academy. In 2002, we moved to the Annapolis, Md., and I had the crazy idea of swimming across the Chesapeake Bay with 600 other insane people in water that was 62 degrees. We then had one more baby, Zachary. We now live in Massachusetts, and I have been back in touch with Jessica Knight Hansen, who lives in Conn., with her husband and new baby boy, Alex.
