Jill Selinka Winston and her husband, Michael, moved to New Rochelle, N.Y., last October with their two daughters Eva and Marni. Jill is a social worker in New York City. Her UVM roommate, Susan Tollers Jackson, lives in Rochester, N.Y., with her husband Ryan, their daughter Morgan and son Cooper. Kim Fleming Albertson and her family live on Nantucket. Robyn Yablans Levy lives with her family on Long Island. Mike Lasch and his wife, Jennifer, welcomed their first child, Samantha, into the family and bought a house in Westborough, Mass. Craig Weich got married in Vermont and lives with his new wife in Massachusetts. Many classmates attended the wedding, including Andy Jones, Rob Stephenson, Jim Dillon, Mark McGowan, and Ben Dunn. Amy Miller Lowell and husband Lee Lowell ’89 live in Florida with their three children. Amy is a midwife, and she also works in real estate. Heath Bender and his wife, Danielle, live in Norwalk, Conn., with son Evan. They spent a lot of time boating on the Long Island Sound last summer. Heath is in-house counsel for the Chubb Group. Beth Miner Mucci and her husband, Joe, are busy raising their daughter, Sarah, and son, Adam. They live in Keene, N.H. Beth earned her master’s degree in infant and toddler studies from Wheelock College in Boston in 1993. She is an infant teacher/caregiver at the Keene State College Child Development Center lab school. Her husband, Joe, who was a carpenter for 20 years, is now a stay-at-home dad. They are excited that Sarah is starting kindergarten. Beth keeps in touch with several UVM friends and has fond memories of our college years. In 2006, Judith Janone Gershater attended an AFSCME organizing event in Boston and a Council 93 Training Institute at the University of Connecticut.

Glen Cademartori wrote to let us know that he and his wife, Kirsten, are elated to announce the birth of their daughter, Francesca “Chesca” Marina, on April 30, 2004. Glen, Kirsten, Chesca, and their black Lab Nero live in Middletown, N.J. After nearly eight years as vice president of marketing at the Meadowlands, Glen accepted the position of vice president/marketing-U.S. operations for Armstrong Partnership NA Ltd., a Toronto-based marketing communications firm. In early 2006, he opened Armstrong’s Manhattan offices, and he oversees the North American brand business. Glen travels quite a bit, so if anyone lives in Stockholm, Toronto, L.A., Las Vegas, or Florida, he would like to reconnect. He currently sees Jeff Mercier, Rob Cioffi, Matt Glass, Bill Steinman, Glenn Booma, and Ruth Henry, all class of ’90, on a regular basis, usually at UVM sports events in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Boston, where his brother Gregg ’94 lives. In August 2006, Amy Chamberlin Haines and Heather Winn Fannon competed in the Iron Girl Triathlon in Columbia, Md. Amy lives in Rockville, Md., with her husband and four children. She is a registered nurse in the emergency department at Suburban Hospital. Heather lives in Alexandria, Va., with her husband and two sons. She is a clinical rep for Medtronic, Inc.

Robin Wolk wrote that she and David Klein welcomed their third child into the world in March 2006. Mason Wolk Klein joined siblings Emmet and Katy at their home in Sudbury, Mass. Kate Dodge and her husband, Dan Opton ’87, welcomed their second child, Ruby Frances Opton, into the world in March 2006. Ruby’s older brother, Max, is delighted to have her in the family. Kate works part time as development director at Vermont Works for Women, a nonprofit agency in Essex Junction that helps women and girls explore, pursue, and excel in nontraditional careers that pay a livable wage. Kate also wrote that Samantha Figliola Stobert G’96, husband Ian, and their children, Liam and Bronwen, recently pulled up stakes in Fletcher, Vt., and moved to Fishkill, N.Y. to be closer to Ian’s IBM team.

Craig Rothenberg and his wife, Maryellen, are excited about the birth of their second child, Hannah Rachel, on July 23, 2006. She joins their son, Benjamin, in the family’s home in Bedford, N.H. Cyndi Bohlin Abbott and her husband, Jeff, welcomed their first child, Jake Davis, on June 19, 2006. Paul and Lisa Goodrich (’95) Zedlovich welcomed their second child, daughter Maren, in early June. Jodi Von Maffei Hodge and her husband, Russell, welcomed their first son, Gus, last March. Doug McGreggor and Stephanie Keller were married on Block Island on July 8, 2006. Many UVMers were there to celebrate with them. Coincidentally, my husband, Tim O’Brien, and I were on Block Island the week of Doug and Stephanie’s wedding and got to witness their first (practice) nuptials on a float in Block Island’s 4th of July parade in front of Captain Nick’s. Everyone was having a great time. Hope Laramie Guerrette and Timothy Guerrette, a 1995 graduate of St. Michael’s College, welcomed their first child, a son named Sagan Laramie on January 17, 2006. Hope and family have been living in the Seattle area for nearly ten years. Hope is a nurse, and Tim is a systems administrator. Baby photos and updates are available at www.sagan laramie.net. Clare Threlkeld Conway wrote, “I married Chris Conway in 2004 in Kennebunkport, Maine. Michelle Angelich Josilo and Justyn Amarosa Constant were in attendance. Our wedding was on a private beach in Maine. I had lived in the West Palm Beach, Fla., area for seven years and recently moved to San Diego. My husband and I love it here! I work in marketing at a computer tech company, mostly running events. I have run five marathons and am training for my sixth right now. Vermont City Marathon was my first and still my favorite.” Molly Melanson Perry wrote from Denver with lots of updates: “My husband, John Perry ’93 and I welcomed our son, Fletcher, on November 23, 2005. He was, and still is, a big baby and very cute! John and I try to bring Fletcher back to Vermont as often as possible. My sister, Elspeth Melanson ’05, moved to Denver last summer and works as an RN at a local hospital. Nancy Perks ’94 Haberstroh and her husband, Brian, welcomed their new baby, Blake Walter, on July 25, 2006. He is totally adorable! I saw Meredith Neylon ’94 Marek and her daughter, Johanna, at Nancy’s baby shower last spring. Meredith and her family live in Munich, Germany. Johanna celebrated her first birthday on July 23. We saw Josh Orlinsky ’93 and his family in July. He and his wife have a son, Samson, and live in New York State.” A UVM alum and friend of Denyce Wicht sent a wonderful update on Denyce. In 2005, Denyce became an assistant professor in the department of chemistry and biochemistry at Suffolk University in Boston, mainly teaching organic chemistry. Prior to that, she spent two years as a visiting assistant professor at Wellesley College. Denyce lives in Cambridge, Mass. Last but not least, a couple of updates about some of the boys who lived on Orchard Terrace. Perry Fatuova and his wife, Rachel, welcomed twin daughter, Carlin and Fiona, into their family in August 2006. They have joined their big sister, Chloe, in the family’s Oakland, N.J., home. Everyone is happy and healthy. Eddie Bien married Hazel Lee on October 8, 2006, in the wine country of California. Many UVMers joined them for the celebration. Deanna Fryer Deinzer and her husband, Kurt, welcomed their son, Ryan Nelson Deinzer, into the world on April 11, 2006. Deanna, Kurt, Ryan, and their dog, Casey, make their home in Boonton Township, N.J. Congratulations to everyone on all the good news sent in for this column! I hope everyone will keep the updates coming. We all love to hear how you are doing and what you are up to.

Wade Johnson of Milton, Vt., graduated from the State of Vermont’s Certified Public Manager Program last June. He is responsible for the “Lamoille Outpost” of the Vermont Department of Corrections. Kelli Shonter and Chris Ford welcomed their beautiful daughter, Kate, in June 2006. She is already eating her great-grandmother’s biscuits. The family lives in Burlington, Vt. Randi Tinkelman received her J.D. degree last spring, and she is awaiting Massachusetts Bar results. Randi lives in Brighton, Mass. Ann-Marie Vannucci let us know that she would be running the New York Marathon. She makes her home in Vergennes, Vt. Tyler Hand became engaged to Karla Zurowski during a Labor Day weekend camping trip. They are planning a summer 2007 wedding.

Your class secretary, Michelle Richards Peters, and her husband, Jonathan, happily welcomed their first child, Jack Michael, on August 19, 2006. The family lives in Seattle, Wash., where Michelle runs a freelance editing business, and Jon is a computer game designer for the game “Guild Wars.” Allyson Radler married Yazdi Kapadia of London, England, on June 2, 2006, at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City. Phaedra Saltis was one of Allyson’s bridesmaids. A second reception was held in London on July 1. Allyson and Yazdi spent their honeymoon in Hawaii. They live in New York City, where Allyson is studying for an advanced master’s degree in psychological counseling at Columbia University. Kristin McCall Johnson married Paul Johnson of Trumbull, Conn., on July 22, 2006 in Southhold, N.Y. Amy Carroccio McNeil was maid of honor. The couple make their home in Shelton, Conn. Paul is a nuclear cardiology technologist, working in private practice in Norwalk, Conn., and Kristin is looking for a new job in Connecticut. They have a chocolate and white cocker spaniel puppy named Tiki. Amy Carroccio married Charlie McNeil on July 24, 2006, in Dorset, Vt. Kurt Scanio, Jenifer Purvee ’97 and her husband, and Kristin McCall Johnson were in attendance. Julie Coffin Scanio was one of Amy’s bridesmaids. Amy and her husband just bought a home in Glens Falls, N.Y. Kathryn Yager earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix last year. She makes her home in beautiful Waitsfield, Vt. Kathryn is a business manager at UVM, where she has been working for eight years. Karen Hammer Larrow and her husband, Jared ’94, welcomed their second child, Diana Victoria, on May 29, 2006. She joins her sister, Shayna, who is now three, in the family’s home in Burlington, Vt. Karen is a marriage and family therapist. Last August, Richard Roessler was promoted to lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force during a promotion ceremony held at Osan Air Base in the Republic of South Korea. He was joined by Tami Roessler, his wife of 19 years, and daughters Allyson and Megan. Richard is assigned to the Seventh Air Force as the Air Force Forces Deputy Surgeon. He and his family have been stationed in Korea since May 2005.

Shannon Burke Fitzgerald and her husband, Emmett, welcomed their first child, Bridget Kendall on May 6, 2006. The family lives in Darien, Conn. Paul Lasher is an elementary school teacher. He married Alyssa Paige Giles at the North Hero House in North Hero, Vt. in 2004. On January 13, 2006, they welcomed their first child, Brady David, into the family. Michael Shankman and his wife, Tara, of Bedminster, N.J., welcomed their first child, Baylyn Noelle, on November 4, 2005. Michael is a controller for a hedge fund-of-funds in Summit, N,J., and Tara is a stay-at-home mom. Rob Slocum married Sarah Solari on August 26, 2006, at the Mountain Top Inn and resort in Chittenden, Vt. The groomsmen included Brendan Burke, Tim Walsh, John Hallisey, Pete Rand, Chris McGuirk, and Steve Losordo. Other UVMers attending the wedding were Darren Blasko, Jen Burke, Kelly Burke, and Britta MacComber Hallisey. Rob and Sarah make their home on Manhattan’s upper west side. Kristen Nestor married Rick Tayag in September 2005. UVM attendees included Scott Nestor ’95, Shayna Nestor ’96, Kristin Schoen (’99) Wishnow, Staci Glick ’98, Melissa Mattuchio ’98, Kristen Briggs, Kristen Adams Walsh ’95, Craig Jones ’95, Tammy Turner ’99, Mindy Vinelli ’98, Geri Witalec ’96, Robert ’95, and Bridget O’Connell (’96) Dangel. Brandon and Tiffany Gardner (’96) Lawrence welcomed the birth of their daughter, Lily Starbuck, on January 21, 2006. The family makes their home in Fairfield, Conn. Brandon is completing an orthopedic surgery residency at Yale. Tiffany continues to work as a portfolio manager for Burlington–based Rock Point Advisors. Heather McLaughlin and Chris Kob recently became engaged in Hana, Maui, Hawaii. They plan to marry in the spring of 2007. Katie Wyle recently married Cormac Flanagan in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the San Francisco Bay. She was in Hamburg, Germany on a Fulbright Scholarship, and she recently moved to Santa Cruz, Calif., for her husband’s job as an associate professor at UCSC. Kathleen Boyce Hepp and her husband, Chris, recently welcomed their first child, Aiden. All are healthy and doing well. In January 2006, Ryan Goslin opened a dental practice in Burlington, Vt. He and his wife have two children: Liam, born in September 2005, and Sabrina, born in October 2003. Gregory Falcone has been living and working in the Princeton, N.J., area since he left UVM. He is renovating an older home and traveling quite a bit, seeing lots of great, live music, playing sports, and playing with race cars. He sends his best regards to all fellow UVMers. Christopher Sharpe of Wayne, Pa., is a bio-remediation specialist. He recently organized a UVM Community Service Day at the Young Friends of the Brandywine in Chester County. Kelly Fox recently returned from photographing a wedding in Jamaica. She purchased a historical building in Canastota, N.Y., that is being renovated for a new studio. She is active in racing J24s on Oneida Lake and Express 30s on Lake Ontario. Christopher Gouin, his wife, and son have relocated to Fort Mills, S.C., near Charlotte, for his job. He and his wife transferred within General Dynamics, but his promotion to chief of staff for VP/GM business unit necessitated the move. Adam Devine, a creative communications and marketing specialist, wrote that he has reinvented himself and his career more times than Madonna, but it was worth the many costume changes. Avoiding complacency is the best lesson he ever learned. He loves what he is doing now. In May 2005, Lisa Sholley left Jackson Hole, Wyo., to move to Seattle. Before that, she spent six months volunteering and traveling throughout South America. Currently, Lisa is a fund raiser for Puget Sound Neighborhood Health Centers. She enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest when the sun is shining. Jaime Hanaway is married and living in New York City. She recently wrapped production on the ABC network’s David Blaine Special. Jaime is taking some time off before starting with “Inside Edition.” Danielle Meshorer is engaged to marry Gregg Dessen, and they are planning a Bay Area wedding for the summer of 2007. Mindy Brooker and Ben Nye welcomed their first child, a son, Owen Richard, on August 19, 2006. Mindy and Ben live in Elon, N.C., and both work for LabCorp. Ben is lab services team leader for the hematology lab, and Mindy is director of the microbiology and immunology labs. Christie Millard Tully and husband, Mark, of Norwalk, Conn., welcomed the newest addition to their family, William Ryan, on March 23, 2006. William’s older brother, Andrew, is two. Todd and Kadi Burroughs Luchsinger welcomed their third child, Wyatt James, on June 22, 2006. Wyatt joins his older siblings, Ethan and Taylor, in the family’s Fayetteville, N.Y., home. Todd is a manager at Fust Charles Chambers in Syracuse, N.Y. Kadi is a stay-at-home mom who does volunteer work for several organizations. David Edson and his wife, Ana, welcomed twins, Eleanor and Zachary, into the family on June 8, 2006. The family makes their home in West Lebanon, N.H. John Fahrbach and his wife, Charlene, welcomed their first child, Jackson, in March 2005. John is approaching the end of his fifth year of a neurosurgery residency, and he will begin his final year as chief resident in July. They are looking forward to the end of a long road. Jake Goldberg and his wife, Brett Kelly, welcomed their daughter, Tess, into the world on Oct. 8, 2005 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. They live on City Island in The Bronx, and they see quite a few UVM’ers on a regular basis. They recently traveled to Vail for a great get-together with Kristen Schlosser, Casey O’Connell, Dennis Teravainen and his girlfriend, Michelle Cooney, Randall Fallis, Pat Miller ’99, and the lovely couple, Dan and Meghan Bedford Martell ’99. They even received a special phone call from Mark Robertson ’96, who’s studying classical music in Vienna with his longtime girlfriend, Ingrid. Last Christmas, Tim Davis became engaged to Sarah Chimini. They were married on November 25, 2006, at Laurelton Hall in Milford, Conn. Chad Moros and his wife, Barb, are excited to announce the birth of their son, Chase Gregory, born July 31, 2006, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. Chad and Barb recently relocated to Columbus from Boston so Chad could work for his father-in-law’s company selling industrial equipment. Spencer Dubuque wrote from Napa Valley, Calif., where he has lived for more than eight years. He is currently running his own wine distribution company, S-Squared, selling small boutique wines in Northern California. Check out S-Squared at www.s2wines.com. Brian Byrnes married a beautiful Argentine woman, Macarena Di Dio, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 1, 2006. The reception was held at Palacio Sans Souci in Buenos Aires. “It was a typical Argentine affair: Argentine steak and Malbec wine was served, they danced tango songs, traditional Argentine Carnival dancers put on an incredible show, and everyone partied until the sun came up.” Brian was pleased that 75 members of his family and friends attended the wedding, including Dave Bonaiuto, Derrick Buckspan, Joe Creney, Alex Montalenti ’99, Mike Oberg, and Chris and Annie Dandurand Parsons. Brian has lived in Buenos Aires since 2001. He is a freelance journalist for CBS News, NPR, Newsweek, Fodor’s Travel Guides, and others. Walter DeNino shared some exciting news. He wrote, “I have started a business with Marcus Garand. Marcus and I led our class in the department of nutrition with numerous awards for our scholastic and research accomplishments. Also of note, I will be entering the University of Vermont College of Medicine this fall after spending the last four years at Columbia University.” Michelle Lambert married Antoine Williams ’92 on October 10, 2005, at Shelburne Farms in Vermont. They had a small wedding with family and UVM friends in attendance. Michelle and Antoine live in South Burlington, Vt. Both are self-employed. After more than 12 years in the financial world, both in New York City and Vermont, Antoine started his own investment firm, Antoine Williams and Associates Financial Services, in Shelburne, Vt. On Christmas Eve 2005, they welcomed their first son, Matias Antoine. Rebecca Alexander is engaged to former Burlington resident Todd Haynes. They recently bought a town home in Palm Beach, Fla., and Rebecca continues to pursue a master’s degree in special education. The couple is planning a June wedding in Connecticut. Sean Follick traveled from Providence, R.I., to Prague, Czech Republic, to attend Eric Levine’s wedding. Eric married Alena Hrebickova on June 10, 2006, in Prague, Alena’s home. The couple met in Atlanta, where they currently live. In attendance at the wedding were Jon and Jen Simpson Smith ’01, who live in the Burlington area. They would love to hear from UVM friends at sfollick@abacus health.com. Sharon Reis married Anthony Balsamo on Valentines Day 2004, and Laura Oppenheimer ’97 was a bridesmaid. Since the wedding, Sharon and Anthony bought a house in East Brunswick, N.J., where Sharon is the office manager for Renault Eurodrive in New York City. She is also pursuing her master’s degree in French and ESL at N.Y.U., and she will graduate in December 2007. Laura is living on the upper east side in Manhattan, where she is a sales and marketing associate at Dorchester Publishing. Lisa Pompei and husband Dennis Ulatowski welcomed their second daughter, Mira Jaz, on July 3, 2006. Mira joins big sister Luna in the family’s home in Keene N.H., where Lisa is a registered nurse. Deborah Finkelstein Lenchus and her husband, Joshua, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, a son, Isaac Joseph, born September 19, 2006. The family makes their home in Plantation, Fla. Kelley Pillman became engaged to Terrence King, a graduate of Hobart College, while on summer visit to Nantucket. They are planning a fall 2007 wedding on Nantucket. Of course, all of the bridesmaids, including Kristie Donahue, Laura Benevento Baum, Whitney Wigton, and Meghan Kelly ’99, will be wearing KEP Designs (kepdesigns.com), original jewelry designed by the bride herself.

On May 27, 2006, Julie Mulhern married Robert Serenyi in Old Town Alexandria, Va. They enjoyed a two-week honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, and in Sonoma and Napa Valley, Calif. Julie and Robert live in Reston, Va., where Julie is a human resources consultant for the federal government. Noah Berliner was married on June 24, 2006, in New York City, and there was a fabulous reception in the New York Athletic Club overlooking Central Park. Jesse Kaufman was best man, and he gave a wonderful speech. Other UVMers in attendance included Cris Amanti, Andrew and Maren Christiansen (’00) Holmes, and Chris Frier. Livy Beecher is engaged to marry Dave Riddiford. They live in Tampa, Fla., and they are planning a spring 2007 wedding. On July 23, 2006, Deb Pollard Wepman and husband, Noah, welcomed their son, Tobias William, into the world. Toby is an adorable, loveable guy. John Taylor left Oracle to pursue an MBA at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Phil Signoroni and his lovely bride, Tanya, were married on July 3, 2006, at a vineyard in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Keisha Kohler married Will Beasley, a Davidson College alum, on June 24, 2006, in Ogunquit, Maine. Classmates who came to celebrate with the couple were Audra LeBlanc, maid of honor, and Keisha’s field hockey teammates Kristen Garner, Stephanie Skrok, Heather Belmosto True, Mindy Vinelli, Beth Crusius, and Jacki Chernicoff. Both Keisha and Will are working on their PhDs at the University of Oklahoma. For the past six years, Brian Munger has been an editor and writer for a major private investigation company in Orlando, Fla. He moved to Florida shortly after graduation from UVM, but he makes an annual trip to Vermont every summer. In addition to the writing he does for his job, Brian writes in his spare time. He recently had his first book published, a comedy/satire titled, How Cheap Can You Get? You can find the book on Amazon.com. A big group of UVMers made it to Pete “Noodle” Newell’s wedding, which was right on the water in Portsmouth, N.H., including Chris Port Pereira, Andrew and Maren Christiansen (’00) Holmes, Justin Carr, Cris Amanti, Mark Allen, Bob Stewart, Ally Stewart, Ben Taylor, Kevin Chipman, Chirag Vyas, Lyssa Sher, Andrew Feibelman, Chris Frier, Bryan Berezdevin, Greg Lewis, and me. Pete’s lovely bride is Eileen Joyce, a UNH graduate. Sarah Hunt of New Gloucester, Maine, was honored with a Community Partner Award by the Cumberland County Chamber for her work as director of education at Pineland Farms. Ben Taylor moved back to our old stomping grounds in Burlington, Vt. Cris Amanti finished his surgery internship in Portland, Maine. Genevieve Weber recently graduated from Penn State with her PhD in counselor education. She is now an assistant professor of counseling at Hofstra. Genny lives in Manhattan, and she plans to marry in June. Genny, Yvonne, and Tara are still best friends, and whenever they get together, it is like they are back in college. Luke Suchecki and his wife opened a chiropractic business in Newburyport, Mass. They wrote that it’s going really well. Allison Francesca Mulazzi moved from Providence, R.I., to Shanghai, China, where she is a seventh grade teacher at Shanghai American School. She enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee, learning Mandarin, biking everywhere despite the staggering pollution, and traveling all over Asia. Chris Frier organized his second annual day on the polo field. Quite a few alums made it to the match and festivities at the Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton, Mass. Chris was there, along with Justin Carr, Mark Allen, Pete Newell Lyssa Sher, Erin Wilson ’01, Aimee Bode ’01, Sarah Brennon ’01, and me. I mentioned that a few of us were going to St. John in the Virgin Islands for Jared Schuler and Sarah Brennon’s wedding over the July 4th weekend. We had an amazing week in paradise. The wedding was held on the beach, and we danced the night away to Cool Sensations, a band that introduced us to the “dolla” dance. UVMers in attendance included Sarah Pitlak ’99, Sarah Valerio Morier and husband Rob ’00, Chris Krueger ’02, Steve (’99) and Jeanna DiCarlo (’00) Reidy ’00, and me. Sarah Pitlak and I flew down together, and we were greeted by two UVM alums who are now locals, Kevin Chipman ’99 and Chirag “Cheech” Vyas ’99. We had a good time helping out on their Virgin Islands Pale Ale float. Brian Johnson proposed to Kathy Varpahovsky last September, and she said yes. They are planning a 2007 wedding. Our classmates have had some new additions to their families: Kristy Bois Oatman and husband, Nate, welcomed their first child, Cooper Roma Oatman, last August. Amy Kristoff Bilodeau and her husband, Mark, also welcomed their first child, daughter Emma Judith, who was born on December 22, 2005. Cristan Greenlaw and Joe Vineis ’02 were married in the Berkshires on September 23, 2006. Rita Demo and Bryson Burse, who live in Southington, Conn., were in attendance. Jessica Halford was chosen Teacher of the Year for Central Massachusetts in June 2006. She is a third grade teacher at Marion E. Zeh School in Northborough, Mass. Jessica also let us know that Erin Kaechele married Dustin Giberson in Vermont in January 2006, and many UVM alumni were in attendance. Katie Lowre moved from San Francisco to New York City, where she lives with Wendy Lyons. Mara McManus is engaged to marry Chris Rhodes in Steamboat, Colo. UVMers in attendance at her bridal shower/ bachelorette party were Jessica Halford, Kelley O’Donnell, Wendy Lyons, Katie Lowre, Stephanie Malone Teeter, Lisa Stoddard, Erin Kaechele Giberson, and Ani Ajemian. Charlotte Cowen lives in Washington, D.C. She sent an email message letting us know that Elizabeth Herhal and Liam Fallom were married last summer in Ontario, Canada. In more 2001 sweetheart news, Preston Junger and Jen Dwyer were married at the Echo Center on the waterfront in Burlington on July 29. I heard from Abby and Scott that the wedding was a blast. Jen and Preston make their home in New York City. Preston is an account manager for Yahoo!, and Jen is an event manager for Eventage. Sarah Clarke married Daniel Pike on August 19, 2006. Daniel is in the U.S. Navy. UVMers in the wedding party were Lisa Calandrelli, Jennifer Bronson, and Rosemary Lemkin. Also in attendance were Katherine Langlands ’06, Paige Langlands ’08, and Connor McKenna ’05. Sarah lives in Seattle. Before I begin with our updates, I want to remind everyone that in 2007 we will celebrate our 5th reunion at UVM. It will be a great weekend for all of us to reconnect. As a member of the reunion committee, I encourage you to join us for an amazing weekend. I’ll start this column by congratulating David Hudacsko and Kate Flanagan on their engagement in August 2006. They plan to marry next August in Rhode Island. David and Kate work in Wyoming; Dave, for Teton Gravity Research, and Kate, as a second grade teacher. They recently bought a house in Victor, Idaho. Jesse Bridges wrote that he has been director of ticket operations for UVM Athletics since 2002. He married Megan Ayers, a 2003 Furman University graduate, on June 24, 2006, at Rock Point in Burlington, overlooking Lake Champlain. Alumni in attendance included Mike and Leanne Sykes ’00 Poirier, Ryan Smith, Forest Cohen, Adam DeSantis, Krista Balogh, Chris McCabe ’91, Luke Riegert ’03, Jessica Dow ’03, Phil ’03 and Dara Rosenberg (’03) Colachio, and Jennifer Gilmore (’96) Cairns. The Poiriers welcomed their first child, Kelton, last March, and the Colachios were married last September. Amanda Logan married Wayne Ghostlaw on August 18, 2006, in Falmouth, Mass. They spent their honeymoon in Alaska, and they now make their home in Foxboro, Mass. UVMers in attendance at the wedding included Mima Hathorn, Chelsea Crane, and Courtney Gremelsbacker, who were bridesmaids, as well as Jen Jennett Jewett and Jason Desrochers ’99. Amanda teaches fourth grade in Bellingham, Mass. Olly Hall married Jessica Blake ’00 in 2002. They have a daughter, Anna, who was born in August 2004, and the family lives in Waterbury, Vt. Amy Hook is an elementary teacher in Lancaster, N.H. She had taught fourth grade for four years, but she moved to second grade last fall. Amy was married in November 2005, and her cousin, Christie Kennett Weir, served as matron of honor. Victoria Comer and Peter Milne ’99 were married on February 4, 2006, in Key West, Fla. Rick Ross ’98 was a groomsman. Victoria is a clinical psychologist at a private practice. Caley Farnham Bourland was married in September 2005, and she enjoyed her honeymoon in Thailand. Caley has worked at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington with many other UVMers, and she enjoys living in Burlington. Michelle Mullarkey wrote from Essex, Vt., to let us know that she is still very involved in the green building field. She has held the position of secretary for the Vermont Green Building Network for the past two years. She also helps coordinate two U.S. Green Building Council Leadership energy and environmental design training workshops. Gretchen Nareff works in avian ecology and conservation biology in Connecticut. She recently competed in the New Jersey Audubon’s World Series of Birding, a prestigious fundraising event. Her team placed in the top 20. Andrew Reynolds started his own landscaping company in 2005, and he recently purchased a home in Burlington, Vt. Jamie Board wrote that she visited Jason Bonanno in Newport Beach, Calif., last Fourth of July. Alex Andrew has returned to the U.S. after a nine-month stint in Argentina. He was welcomed home at a birthday party for Emily Horsburg. Jamie celebrated her birthday at Cruba in New York City, surrounded by Sarah Wetzler, Joanna Myers, Ashley Bryant, and Emily Horsburg. Thomas Smith is working in disease ecology and researching pathogenic fungus and amphibians of the Sierra Nevada. Felise Roe recently graduated from Ross University Veterinary School and now is an associate veterinarian at a mixed animal practice in southeastern Massachusetts. Kim Moses let us know that Sarah Gilles Bisson has a new baby named Cole Ryker. Congratulations, Sarah! Dan Ruane and Kelley O’Donnell live in Stowe, Vt., where Dan manages a ski shop in the winter and is the assistant golf professional at Stowe Country Club. Kelly enjoys her rewarding job in sales. Congratulations to Jennifer Reinke, who recently graduated from Pace Law School in White Plains, N.Y., with a certificate in environmental law. Michael Bryant has been working at a Cape Cod hospital, where he administers radiation treatments to cancer patients on a daily basis. He is applying to physician’s assistant schools. Yehuda Sugarman has been working to organize the campus and youth vote in Vermont for Bernie Sanders’ campaign for the U.S. Senate. Congratulations to Stacy Marchessault, who recently graduated from Columbia University’s School of Social Work with an MSW degree. She plans to relocate to Denver, Colo. Helen McGrath and Jon Schoonmaker have been dating since they met at UVM in 1999. Last August, they traveled cross-country to experience the great outdoors in such national parks as Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Mammoth Cave. Currently, Jon is a real estate investor and Heather is a registered nurse. Courtney Gremelsbacker is working in her hometown, Cheshire, Conn., and she plans to begin working on a master’s degree in education. Alexis Muscato works in external sales and community development. She also is enrolled in the professional MBA program at the University of Buffalo. Megan McKevitt is pursuing her MBA in finance at the University of Phoenix. She is also doing an internship and working part time for a music publisher. Anthony Egizi recently took a cruise to Bermuda, visited the Lake District in England, and spent time and money in Las Vegas. He wrote, “Being the geographer that I am, I love to travel and learn about new places and meet new people. I still live in St. Johnsbury, Vt., but I hope to work for National Geographic soon.” David Demarest founded Green Mountain Mycosystems, a forest-based reishi mushroom farm that sells traditional medicinal mushroom teas, Vtea Mycobrews, and concentrated mushroom extract. Adam Wolk is finishing law school, and he plans to move to Manhattan to work for Mayer, Brown, Row & Maw. Mea Rupley Newman still lives in Tucson, Ariz., where she recently made a big career switch. She is back in school pursuing a bachelor’s in nursing. She and her husband, Dave ’01, are looking forward to returning to campus for reunion. They haven’t been back since graduation. Claudia Sylva left the sports marketing world at Puma and is now an account manager at ARGUS, the only multicultural advertising and marketing firm in Boston. She recently moved to Back Bay. Last July she attended the wedding of Francis Tay and Rebecca Shields near Philadelphia. Jess Krick, Rob Hrubec, Sarah Clark, and Charlie Bergh were in attendance. Congratulations to Christian Hinrichsen, who graduated from the University of Maine School of Law last May.

Congratulations to Molly McKay and Dean Jewett who were engaged in February and are planning their wedding for September 2007, in beautiful Vermont. After working in the corporate world in Boston, Sarah Tetzlaff moved back to Vermont and became a full-time teacher of family and consumer sciences at Mt. Abraham Union High School in Bristol. She also is pursuing her master’s in education. Over Memorial Day weekend last year, Sarah became engaged to Jeremy Audet, who owns Homestead Fence Co., and they are planning to wed next summer. In other wedding news, Kristen Guerette and Kevin Cook were married last September at the Echo Center in Burlington. UVMers in attendance were: Matt Salhuana, Adam Wertheimer, Nathan Ahlemeyer, Dan Fredman, Maigret Fay, Melissa Greeley, Alexis Ressler, Lowell Thompson, Ben Hogue, Ben Martin, Eve Schott, Beth Rice, Jess Clarke, and Laura Jett ’04. Sarah Schoolcraft married Chris Boylan on August 12, 2006. UVMers in attendance were Annie Willis, Stephanie Waterman, Tessa Lorenz, Dan Fredman, and Shaun O’Roarke. Sarah recently completed her master’s of curriculum degree at Lesley College, and she is teaching fourth grade in Framingham, Mass. Stephanie lives in White River Junction, Vt., with her boyfriend. She has been renovating an old farm house and is working in the jewelry industry. She has been asked to manage a new jewelry store in Stowe, and she planned to move there for the grand opening last December. Annie is living in New York City with her boyfriend, Tony, and working as an architect’s assistant while pursuing a degree in interior design at Parsons School of Design. Shaun is busy completing graduate school in Syracuse, N.Y., and is looking forward to spending time in Chile. Steph was also nice enough to send some updates on her friends: Westy Lemaitre worked as a gardener last summer on an estate in Gloucester, Mass., and planned to head west for a winter of fabulous skiing. Jill Senyi lives in Toronto, and she spends her spare time traveling. Don Much is living in Hoboken, N.J., and working for an accounting firm in New York City. Zach Kaufman wanted to share exciting news as well. He wrote, “I live in Pacific Beach, San Diego, with Tim Williams and two other friends from home. We drove cross-country in my van and did some back-country backpacking in Yellowstone. Manny Vetti decided not to come with us because he was concerned about the lack of snow and jobs in finance. I sold cars for a few months , and now I’m selling industrial packaging for Kent Landsberg Co. Tim sells Motorola two-way radios. We recently ran into Danielle Donza. We’d love to have UVM visitors!” Cara Linehan recently accepted a new position at BB&N, working for their annual fund. She has a new puppy, Copley. Last July, UVM hosted a wonderful Alumni Night at Yankee Stadium. Emily St. Germain Perriñez came down from New Hampshire for the weekend, and we caught up with Stephanie Waterman, Annie Willis, and Alexa McInerney. Alexa is working towards her MBA at Pace University.
