For her design school thesis, she redesigned the amber prescription pill bottle, creating a better, safer system adopted by Target and exhibited in New York’s Museum of Modern Art. When Alyssa Vine graduated from UVM in May 2004, she spent her last summer in Burlington starting her job search. In the beginning, things did not go well. Alyssa discovered the frustrations of searching for entry level media and communications jobs in New York City. As she recalls, "I found out quickly that jobs posted on the Internet are often, at least for recent graduates, black holes for resumes with similar experience, education and objectives." After getting fed up with the dead-ends and being unsure where to find new job leads, Alyssa took the advice of an advisor in Career Services and logged on to the alumni career network,
